Materials & Care

By industry standards, solid gold is the only material that will never ever tarnish. All other materials will tarnish over time.
With that said, we can extend the lives of our demi-fine jewelries with proper care.

All Stainless Steel pieces at Veintiséis are tarnish, rust and water resistant. As such, you may safely wear these beautiful pieces while washing your hands and into the shower without worrying that it may turn your skin green. Simply wipe away any excess water droplets when done.

To Maintain / Care :
· Occasionally wipe with our soft Veintiseis Jewelry Cleaning Cloth
· Store in a cool, dry place, or in jewellery box
· To better care for your piece, we recommend avoiding chlorine, seawater, lotions, perfume and sweat
· Remove before swim and vigorous activities and avoid abrasive chemicals and moisture
· Keep away from rough surfaces (e.g. keys, coins, mahjong tiles) that may scratch your piece

All our Stainless Steel Jewelry comes with coat of Gold plating which may tarnish with wear and tear. A general rule of thumb with any jewelry is to always put it on last and remove it first to ensure they don't lose their shine over time.

What Does PVD Means?
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a vacuum coating process that uses titanium nitride to provide a more durable coating. PVD coated jewelries are more resistant to scratches, wear, and tarnishing than regular gold plated or gold vermeil jewelries. It is generally safe for those with sensitive skin, as it does not contain nickel or other allergens.

Sterling Silver 925 or S925 consists of 92.5% of silver and 7.5% of other metals as 100% pure Silver is too soft to be made into jewelry. Silver tarnishes quickly when it comes into contact with the moisture and oxygen in the air.

To Maintain / Care :
· Wear your S925 jewelries often – your skin's natural oils will help keep silver jewelry shiny
· Store in an airtight case to prevent and minimize tarnishing
· To better care for your piece, we recommend avoiding chlorine, seawater, lotions, perfume and sweat
· Remove before swim and vigorous activities and avoid abrasive chemicals and moisture
· Keep away from rough surfaces (e.g. keys, coins, mahjong tiles) that may scratch your piece
· To clean, wipe with polishing cloth only

A general rule of thumb with any jewelry is to always put it on last and remove it first to ensure they don't lose their shine over time. Lotions, makeups, hair spray and perfumes will accelerate tarnishing.

Cubic Zirconia was first found in Germany and has been around since the 1930s. It was later lab-grown in the 1970s, as an affordable alternative to blood diamonds and other natural gemstones.

To Maintain / Care :
· To better care for your piece, we recommend avoiding chlorine, seawater, lotions, perfume and sweat
· Remove before swim and vigorous activities and avoid abrasive chemicals and moisture
· Keep away from rough surfaces (e.g. keys, coins, mahjong tiles) as an accumulation of surface scratches will reduce its brilliant shine over time

Any gemstone can get dull over time and Cubic Zirconia is no exception. If it gets dull due to residue building onto the surface, you can clean it with lukewarm water and mild liquid soap. Gently scrub your gemstone with a small, soft brush and rinse after. Pat dry using our Veintiséis Jewelry Cleaning Cloth. Show some love every few months to maintain its shine!
